About Me
I have long been a Democrat for a lot of reasons, but have always thought of myself as actually rather conservative. I find myself strongly sympathizing with principles of fiscal responsibility while also recognizing the place for government to provide security, fairness, justice, and safety.
It seems that we, especially in New Hampshire, are bleeding to “death by a thousand cuts”, which Republicans seem to encourage and then try to justify pulling the rug out from under those who need help most. When it comes to sponsoring legislation that helps the most people, Democrats are often the ones seen leading the charge and fighting back against Republicans’ frivolous and restrictive government oversight. Because of all the various sources of influence and pandering, governments seem to get in their own way, but we must remain vigilant to always remember that we, the people, are the government.
So why are we virtually letting ourselves get in our own way? I mostly feel frustration of how the system has become so complicated and inefficient. We can overcome this best by coming together to resolve as many differences as possible between us. This is why I have decided to represent my peers by running for New Hampshire Representative for Cheshire County’s District 12 in my town of Swanzey and neighboring Richmond.
It’s important that we have people willing to stand up and fight back inequalities, corruption, and abuse of influence. Please vote for those who pledge to do so at every level of government. If you’re not sure about someone’s position on something. You should be able to find out or ask them. Ask me now about what you care most about state issues and politics. Even if we don’t totally agree, is focusing on our journey together not still a better approach to our future than individual issues? I look forward to moving forward with you.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
